Nas responded to J. Cole's track 'Let Nas Down' by jumping on the track naming it "Made Nas Proud". Throughout the song Nas is expressing his feelings towards the situation explaining to Cole that he understands how he felt at the time and Cole didn't let him down. As an upcoming artists, Cole just played the game and did what he had to do to get radio play and gain mass appeal. 'Made Nas Proud' is more than just a record, having a legend respect you enough to say "here's the crown pass it to you like nothing, n*gga you ain't let Nas down" is one of the greatest accomplishments an artist can achieve.
