New York is on the rise of making a heavy dent in the revival of real hip-hop music. Underground artists from New York are coming in the game hard bringing back vibes that originated in the golden era of hip hop with a kick of new sound, creativity and most of all unity. Alongside these New York native emcee's is underground artist Mike Check from Long Island.
Mike Check released his first mixtape in 2009 entitled "Check Me Out" introducing himself as a hip-hop artist. It created a huge buzz. Since then he has been consistently doing shows, interviews and creating music. In Feburary 2013 he released his latest EP Stars, Dreams & Elbow Grease. This mixtape exemplifies his artistic elevation since Check Me Out by continuing to give visuals and concepts out of the norm in the hip-hop industry. Mike Check has created his own lane with styles influenced from different genres of music and continues to be innovative with the art of his music.
