Big Sean's Hall of Fame Listening Event in NYC

Yesterday I attended Big Sean's Hall of Fame listening party at the Broad Street Ballroom NYC and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The place was packed with various people such as record labels, bloggers, photographers and most of all genuine fans. We were seated as Big Sean sat on stage in front of a white backdrop to introduce his long awaited project Hall of Fame. During the introduction speech Big Sean informed listeners about how much work he put into his album, craft and success while remaining humble. It was very personal and direct. The bare white visualization of the stage represented a metaphorical presentation of a blank slate. Big Sean created a sense of vulnerability towards his music by enabling listeners to perceive the music as they please. Each track that played had a unique visual projected on to the white back drop on stage aided with occasional lights which brought out the different emotions of each song. I really enjoyed this listening party, I was enamored by the visuals and production of every single track from start to finish. Big Sean provides club bangers, ratchet music, solemn melodies, stories heartbreak, celebration of success and skits all in one album. The transitions from track to track are seamless which enables the album to be very cohesive. Big Sean's Hall of Fame listening event was a huge success. The amount of effort he put into this album shows and it was definitely worth the wait! Hall of Fame drops August 25th. Check out some of my personal video clips below, they're a bit shabby but the audio is pretty clear.
