Seeing Queens native Action Bronson at the Fools Gold Day Off event took everyone by surprise! He came on stage with full energy displaying why he deserves a spot in the hip-hop game. Bronson enforces that notion by dropping his new track 'Drug Sh*t'. This track is riddled with great lyricism and a 90's-like vibe. My Reaction: The New York Renaissance Mixtape

Hot97's very own Peter Rosenberg collabed with Ecko Unltd to release The New York Renaissance"mixtape.  The mixtape dropped April 4th and Iv'e been listening to it ever since. The mixtape has a cohesive flow with unquestionable inspiration from the 90's era of hip-hop. The New York Renaissance represents something more than just music, it  represents the come-up of underground hip-hop artists from New York and unity. The mixtape features artists such as Action Bronson, Troy Ave and Kris Kasanova. The concentration of good emcees coming from New York is at a high right now and The New York Renaissance highlights the undeniable talent rising straight out of New York.  If you love hip-hop music you will definitely enjoy listening to this mixtape.
