New Artist: Mazon- Sun Roof (Remix)

Mazon is an upcoming rapper from Philadelphia that is slowly but surely making noise in the hip-hop scene.  Not only does he rap, Mazon also produces his own tracks which leaves room for taking full creative control of his work.  As many up and coming artists, Mazon is working hard at developing his own sound and performing in shows across Philadelphia to build a greater fan base.  His up and coming sixth project 'The Will' will depict the growth he has experienced as an artist production wise and lyrically. His first single form 'The Will' entitled 'Sun Roof' is a remix from a track off his latest project 'Maintaining'.  'Sun Roof' is a smooth track that celebrates Mazon's hometown Philadelphia and the road he's traveling towards success.  Mazon's lyrics and production come together to create a good track with a seamless flow. I'm excited to hear other tracks from 'The Will' which drops in the Fall. In the mean time, check out 'Sun Roof' (Remix) below.

Underground Artist: Union- 'Wait'

Bronx rapper Union recently released his new track 'Wait' produced by Vybe Beats. This track will be featured on Union's upcoming mixtape 'Fools Gold' which will tell a story of the struggles an artists face in the industry. Union's other projects include The Value of A Dollar EP  back in 2011 and his latest EP The USC Project released in 2012.  Union and his USC crew have been petty consistent in releasing quality music and I am looking forward to listening to his 'Fools Gold' EP dropping soon.  Check out his fist single 'Wait' below.

 

Ducko McFli's: 'SykDuck' EP Listening Event

Ducko Mcfli is an artist causing quite a buzz in some states in the south. Originally from Nashville, Ducko decided to take his talent to NYC by conducting a listening event for his 'SykDuck' EP that released today. Ducko collaborated with Syksense to produce this eight track mixtape. Sykduck is not only a reflection of him as an artist but also a reflection of his personal journey to success. When you get into a position where can go out and see the world and hustle to perfect your craft at the same time, people start to leach on to you-- it's like a sickness. Hence the title 'SykDuck'. Although the mixtape is based on one concept each song has a different vibe and touches on different topics such as haters, partying and living life. Ducko made a really good impression at the listening party. His music was good, his aura was down to earth and his passion for what he does was very apparent. There's still room for growth as an artist as far as establishing a specific sound; one can always make good even better. Strive to be amazing! New Music: Buddy- Hypnosis

Buddy is a 19 year old rapper straight out of Compton, California. As Pharrell's new artist, Buddy has the capability to be a big part of the new generation of hip-hop. He has worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Asher Roth while perfecting his craft along the way. Buddy recently released a track called "Hypnosis" which will most likely appear on his upcoming mixtape "Idle Time" which has no specific release date as of yet. I like the tracks that I've heard from Buddy so far and I can't wait to hear more. Listen to "Hypnosis" below and also listen to one of my favorite tracks from Buddy "Aw Nah" Ft. Asher Roth.
