My Reaction: The New York Renaissance Mixtape

Hot97's very own Peter Rosenberg collabed with Ecko Unltd to release The New York Renaissance"mixtape.  The mixtape dropped April 4th and Iv'e been listening to it ever since. The mixtape has a cohesive flow with unquestionable inspiration from the 90's era of hip-hop. The New York Renaissance represents something more than just music, it  represents the come-up of underground hip-hop artists from New York and unity. The mixtape features artists such as Action Bronson, Troy Ave and Kris Kasanova. The concentration of good emcees coming from New York is at a high right now and The New York Renaissance highlights the undeniable talent rising straight out of New York.  If you love hip-hop music you will definitely enjoy listening to this mixtape.

Forever Friday Releases New Mixtape Cover

Forever Friday is making sure fans are anticipating thier upcoming mixtape "Cant Wait Til Friday" by releasing the mixtape cover.  The cover of the mixtape is very creative and is reminiscent of the movie "Friday".  There is no set release date for their mixtape as of yet but it should be dropping this year. r.O.b- CircaXXV Review

As you previously read, r.O.b's (Realist One Breahtin')project "CircaXXV" that was due to release March 1, 2013 is here! As I listen through the tracks consecutively I realize that "CircaXXV" is not just a mixtape,it serves as an outlet into the life of r.O.b. "CircaXXV" covers various topics but still has one underlying theme of one having dedication to pursue a dream in spite of previous trials and tribulations. The mixtape starts off with "Up" which displays r.O.b's confidence as an artist and welcomes listeners to "CircaXXV"-- this track certainly caught my attention. This project personalizes r.O.b's experience in the industry as well as in his personal life. Overall, CirvaXXV is a dope mixtape and solidifies r.O.b as an artist. Mixtape Of The Week: Wrath Of Caine

"Wrath Of Caine" was released the 28th of January and I've been listening to it everyday since. Pusha T never disappoints me. He has songs I can be mellow to, feel gangsta to, & turn up to!  If you don't already have it go get it, you won't regret it.

Side Note: This mixtape has me waiting on Big Sean's and Kanye's album to drop. I have a feeling that G.O.O.D Music is going to be on beast mode for 2013.
